5 Things To Help Gear Your Social Media Up In 2025
A <5 minute read.
why hello there and happy new year! am i the only one who feels like it’s still december?
anywho, i hope you had an amazing and relaxing holiday whether you went on vacation, spent it with fam, or just had some alone time! i’ve currently been down with the flu for a week, but we’re almost through. so, i’m treating the first day i’m better like my 1st lolol.
today’s newsletter is potentially the shortest thing i’ll ever write. i say this every single time and maybe one day, it will be true.
before we get into it, i quickly wanted to reintroduce myself.
if you’ve been here or if you’re new here, my name is kendall dickieson. instead of writing a bunch of boring run-on sentences, here are a few quick random bullets about me:
i’m one of those born and raised new yorkers who has zero idea how to drive
i originally went to school to be in the health industry, but dropped out junior year after going to not one, not two, but three colleges and started consulting/working in social in junior year
i’m an aries and i turn 30 on april 9th (please give me advice)
i used to be an influencer in the food/wellness space and often wonder about bringing it back
i ran social for restaurants and cafes in new york city and new jersey for 3 years before covid before switching onto the brand side, but have worked in social as a freelancer/consultant for 8+ years
i eat some version of a peanut butter/almond butter + jelly every day
making spotify playlists is one of my best skills
I guess what I do for a living is probably good to know since about 2,000 (insane) of you trust me to show up in your inbox with social, marketing, and influencer takes and advice.
the tl;dr is i am a social media/influencer marketing consultant to brands within DTC/CPG ranging across food, beverage, beauty, and wellness. i help brands from building their initial organic social and influencer strategies or refining their current, seeding programs (aka sending product), auditing accounts, managing accounts, running paid influencer programs/managing budget, and more. you might know me for launching graza on social and their influencer program where i know head up their creator partnerships, but i’ve gotten to work on tons of other cool brands like Zab’s, Canopy, immi, Little Sesame, and am an advisor to brands like Ripi.
phew..ok. that’s it. that’s me.
now, like i said today’s topic isn’t even a topic. since you’re probably getting slammed in the face with newsletters and so much overwhelming information, i thought it would be fun to just give you 5 pieces of content that you can choose to read up on this week if you get some free time.
below, you’ll find the most engaged newsletters i sent in 2024 ranging across tech stacks i use for social + content creations, how to think about building a social team, how to leverage social media content and influencers if you’re a brand launching or are already in retailers, a free social media reporting template to help you leverage your data to better inform your strategy and more.
How To Build a Killer Social Team in 2025 (even if you’re on a budget)
My Lessons and Learnings from 2024 around social and influencer marketing
14 apps that will help you with content creation and content in general (free and paid!)
that’s them! i hope you like them if you haven’t given them a read yet.
as always, your feedback means the world. heading into the new year, i would love to know what you would love to see from this newsletter, questions you’re wondering and want answers to, and more.
if you think someone you know should be reading this, invite them to join the fam with this link: https://kendalldickieson.beehiiv.com/subscribe
i will be back in action with normal content starting later this week.
catch ya on the flip,
